Project stories

Start with what the owner wanted.

Ohio Landcraft case studies are meant to show the goal, the options, the choices made, what was reused, what was purchased, and how the owner can care for the result afterward.

Driveway

Goal: a driveway that needs less annual attention

Plan: Recover migrated stone, reshape the drive, correct key water paths and add new aggregate selectively.

Why: Put more of the budget into lasting improvement and less into replacing material that was already there.

Owner takeaway: Keep the crown edges and culvert inlet working so small issues do not become expensive ones.

Clearing

Goal: create usable space without clearing everything

Plan: Define the intended space, keep useful screening and open only the area needed for access and use.

Why: Reduce machine time and future maintenance while preserving the character of the property.

Owner takeaway: Know which areas need periodic mowing or touch-up and which are intended to stay natural.

Site improvement

Goal: prepare a future build without doing everything today

Plan: Complete access and initial grading now, while preserving logical routes and elevations for later utilities and construction.

Why: Let the budget work in phases without paying to undo Phase 1 during Phase 2.

Owner takeaway: Know what was intentionally planned for later before adding new work.

Build the library over time

Every completed job should teach the next customer something.

Capture before, during and after conditions plus a short explanation of the choices. That creates proof of the process instead of a gallery of equipment photos.

Recommended case-study format

  • What existing materials or features were reused?
  • What did the customer actually spend money on?
  • What work was completed and why?
  • What should the owner watch or maintain afterward?
  • What future phase, if any, was anticipated?
